Popular Nigerian entertainer Aloma Junior, famously called Zicsaloma, has called out officers of the Nigeria Police Force for reportedly harassing him and attempting to extort money during a tinted glass permit inspection in Lagos.
The skit maker alleged he was singled out solely because of his Mercedes-Benz vehicle.
In a trending online video, the humorist expressed frustration over how young Nigerians driving luxury cars face unfair profiling.
He narrated being stopped multiple times by law enforcement agents despite possessing an authentic police-issued tint permit.
The comedian claimed officers dismissed his documentation as counterfeit before demanding bribes.
“I’m considering selling my Benz—not for financial reasons but because of constant police harassment,” he vented. “How can officers stop me five times in a single day? Right after leaving home near that Ibrahim Tese junction, the police ambushed me instantly.”
According to his account: “They barged into my car shouting ‘Let’s go to the station!’ When I questioned why, they cited tint violation. I presented my permit, but they insisted it was forged—even though I obtained it through their official portal.”
He continued: “At the station, they tried taking me behind the building until bystanders recognized me. Suddenly their tone changed when they realized I wasn’t some unknown ‘Yahoo boy’ suspect.”
Zicsaloma described how a senior officer eventually intervened, pretended familiarity, then released him upon seeing the growing crowd.
The comedian revealed this pattern repeated at four additional checkpoints that day: “From Ajah bridge to VGC, different teams kept flagging me down. My documents were perfect—this is purely about my car choice.”
He sarcastically added: “Maybe I should switch to a Corolla—criminals apparently transport human heads in small cars without attracting police attention.”
Concluding his emotional outburst, Zicsaloma pleaded: “Serious buyers for my Benz should contact me. This endless profiling has drained me completely—it’s why I barely drive it anymore.”
