Controversial Nigerian artist Don Igwe has stirred reactions online with his divisive views on marital dynamics and financial empowerment.
During a recent podcast appearance, the musician asserted that investing in a wife’s business venture could spell trouble for men.
“A man’s challenges begin the moment he funds his wife’s enterprise. Empowering a woman financially marks the start of his downfall,” he stated emphatically.
Igwe further shared his skepticism toward women, recounting a shocking marital revelation:
“I’ve witnessed a 50-year marriage collapse when DNA tests revealed only one of their four children was biologically the husband’s. This involved a devout, homebound Christian woman no one would suspect,” he claimed.
The artist also questioned the validity of marriages where women retain their maiden names:
“If you’re using your father’s surname, you’re not truly married. Your father should be the one marrying you in that case,” Igwe controversially concluded.
