Renowned Nigerian auto dealer and socialite Ikechukwu Ogbonna has been absolved of all allegations linked to the passing of his former spouse, Bimbo Ogbonna, after receiving a full acquittal from the court.
The verdict came three years after IVD faced intense scrutiny and legal battles from Bimbo’s relatives, who claimed he played a role in her untimely death.
Blessing CEO, his current partner and a well-known relationship consultant, broke the news on Instagram, lauding the judicial outcome. She used the opportunity to advocate for self-preservation in toxic relationships.
“Discharged and acquitted on December 15, 2025. A triumph of truth over adversity.
“Years of pain and baseless accusations finally put to rest.
“Justice prevails in Nigeria’s legal system.
“My faith in our country is restored. IVD, your freedom is reclaimed. Cheers to new beginnings.
“If love turns to suffering, flee without hesitation. No life is worth sacrificing for a broken bond,” she urged.
Bimbo tragically lost her life in October 2022 after a fire outbreak at their Lagos home, with suspicions of domestic abuse surfacing.
IVD faced involuntary manslaughter charges in March 2023, granted bail shortly after, only to be detained again on August 1, 2025, by Lagos authorities as he prepared to wed Blessing CEO in Qatar.
