Nollywood star and filmmaker Yomi Fabiyi recently made bold claims in a live session, asserting that he had already been jet-setting internationally long before his peers, Funke Akindele and Iyabo Ojo.
Reflecting on the controversial Baba Ijesha case, Yomi recalled Iyabo’s threat to block his travels, only to dismiss it as ineffective.
He revealed his decade-long marriage to a British national and two decades of international trips, emphasizing that neither Iyabo nor Funke could match his travel history.
Though urged to take legal action against Iyabo, Yomi opted against it, insisting divine justice would restore Baba Ijesha’s losses—while maintaining the court never confirmed any wrongdoing involving a minor.
“Iyabo Ojo vowed to ground me, but I’d already wed a Brit and explored the globe for 20 years—long before she or Funke Akindele. The court cleared Baba Ijesha; no evidence proved he harmed a child. Why sue when God settles scores?”
