Nigerian football legend Sunday Oliseh has urged Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen to stay devoted in prayer.
Oliseh shared this guidance while discussing Osimhen’s career path after the 26-year-old secured a permanent transfer to Galatasaray, missing out on a Premier League move this summer.
It is worth noting that Osimhen recently finalized his move to Galatasaray from Napoli after Premier League giants like Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United opted not to pursue him during the transfer window.
Oliseh, however, remains confident that top clubs will target Osimhen next year if Nigeria secures a spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
“Victor must keep praying,” Oliseh stated in a viral social media video.
“He needs Nigeria to qualify for the upcoming World Cup.
“He should continue leading the team with even greater dedication. Ensuring Nigeria’s qualification is crucial.
“If Nigeria reaches the World Cup and he performs well, clubs will overlook any current issues surrounding him. Otherwise, he may face challenges.”
Nigeria currently sits fourth in Group C of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, trailing South Africa, Rwanda, and Benin Republic.
