Nigeria’s national team head coach, Eric Chelle, has openly acknowledged submitting key demands to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) as part of his new contract terms.
Negotiations have been ongoing with the NSC since Chelle guided the Super Eagles to a podium finish at AFCON 2025 earlier this year.
Unexpectedly, confidential details surfaced in various media outlets.
Initial reports suggested Chelle demanded a monthly payment of €130,000, along with enhanced operational support.
Chelle verified the document’s legitimacy but raised concerns over its unauthorized disclosure.
“Honestly, I’m still puzzled—how did this document reach the press? That’s the real mystery for me,” he stated during an exclusive chat with histoiresdefootpodcast.
The Malian tactician clarified that the quoted figure was denominated in US dollars, not euros.
He further emphasized that the proposed sum would also fund his entire technical team’s compensation package.
