Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi-Samuel has opened up about the team’s dynamics and the importance of star striker Victor Osimhen.
In a candid interview with Oma Akatugba, the Birmingham City fullback addressed critics who claim Nigeria depends too heavily on Osimhen’s contributions.
Osayi-Samuel emphasized Osimhen’s exceptional abilities and his irreplaceable role in the squad: “Honestly, it’s not something that concerns me. Everyone should recognize Victor as one of our key players—we naturally want him leading our attack in every match.”
“His talent is extraordinary, and while opinions will always exist, his novo career speaks for itself,” the defender added.
Osimhen proved his worth during the 2025 AFCON, netting four crucial goals for the Nigerian national team.
