Victor Osimhen

Nigeria’s Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen has acknowledged the challenge posed by Morocco as both teams prepare for their high-stakes AFCON semi-final showdown.

With captain Wilfred Ndidi sidelined due to suspension, Osimhen steps into a leadership role, aiming to guide Nigeria past a formidable Moroccan side.

The Napoli forward emphasized the impact of Morocco’s home support but remained confident in Nigeria’s ability to overcome the odds.

“Morocco has a strong squad with exceptional talent, but we’ve proven ourselves as one of the tournament’s most dangerous teams,” Osimhen stated in an interview with CBS Sports Golazo.

“Our focus isn’t on them—we take each match as it comes. After defeating Algeria, we’ve shown the world our determination to lift the trophy.”

He added, “Playing in front of a passionate Moroccan crowd will be tough, but many of us have experience in packed stadiums. Personally, I feel no pressure—just excitement. We’ll give everything and trust in our quality to secure victory.”

Osimhen’s unwavering belief in Nigeria’s chances reflects the team’s growing momentum as they edge closer to AFCON glory.
