Victor Osimhen

Victor Osimhen has revealed his unshakable belief that success would have found him regardless of his football career, citing his relentless work ethic and determination.

During a candid livestream conversation with Cater Efe, the Napoli forward reflected on his journey, emphasizing his innate drive to succeed.

“Even if football hadn’t been my path, I would’ve thrived financially. My hustle was unmatched—I embraced every opportunity, no matter how tough, because I was hungry for success,”
Osimhen shared.

The turning point in his football career came during his loan spell with Charleroi in 2018 after initial setbacks.

“Belgium tested me—two clubs turned me down before Charleroi gave me a chance. That move changed everything,”
he recounted.

When pressed about comparisons to Afrobeats icons Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Davido in terms of wealth, Osimhen sidestepped the question but praised their global influence.

“These artists are shaping Nigeria’s image worldwide. Hearing our music in clubs abroad is a testament to their impact,”
he said.

He further highlighted the underappreciated value of Nigerian talent abroad, emphasizing the pride they bring to the nation.
