Controversial social commentator VeryDarkMan (VDM) has fired back at street-hop star Portable after the musician criticized him for questioning President Bola Tinubu’s leadership.
Taking to Instagram, VDM posted footage of Portable being detained following allegations of attempting to steal a tricycle (Keke Napep).
This comes after VDM spoke out against Tinubu regarding Nigeria’s rising insecurity and economic hardships.
Portable had lashed out at VDM for challenging Tinubu, insisting that the president is making progress.
VDM retaliated on Instagram, accusing Portable of theft and suggesting he was bribed to defend Tinubu.
He remarked: “VeryDarkMan, misfortune will befall you. You used to drink sachet water, but now that Tinubu is in office, you’ve upgraded to bottled water—proof he’s effective.”
“Portable, check your 2020 arrest footage where you got beaten up for trying to steal a keke. You dare mock me, someone who owned both a car and a keke back then? Claiming I only got them under Tinubu? I don’t fault you.”
“Someone like you, a former keke thief, can now be hired by politicians to defend incompetence. I didn’t insult Tinubu—I voiced the sufferings Nigerians endure, especially amid rising insecurity.”
“How much did they pay you? Ask them how much they offered me to switch sides. The government underestimates Nigerians, that’s why they recruit people like you as mouthpieces. They think citizens are gullible.”
“You had the nerve to say I’m ‘doing too much.’ Next time we meet without security, I’ll use your face to scrub the floor.”
