Renowned Nigerian digital creator Kolu has reportedly been taken into custody in the United Kingdom following a confrontation with immigration officials.

The incident occurred on Wednesday when Kolu allegedly resisted authorities while attempting to return to Nigeria.

Candy Bleakz, the musician who financed Kolu’s UK trip, shared details of the arrest through an emotional Instagram post, explaining the circumstances leading to his detention.

According to Bleakz, the situation escalated when Kolu misplaced his passport during their airport departure process and subsequently clashed with UK immigration officers.

“I clearly warned Kolu that he was traveling under my sponsorship, and any complications would directly impact me,” Bleakz stated in the video.

“During our flight check-in, he couldn’t locate his passport. Instead of handling the situation calmly, he became combative with officials—thinking he could behave like in Nigeria.”

“Despite my pleas for restraint, he was arrested. I’ve spent the entire day at the police station trying to prevent his deportation, which would permanently damage his travel record.”
