The devastated musician shared the tragic news on his Instagram page, pouring out his grief in an emotional tribute.
Describing the unbearable pain of losing a child, he offered heartfelt prayers for his son’s eternal peace while keeping private the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
“This pain is unimaginable—no parent should ever bury their child. Rest peacefully, my champion Jamaldeen Emrs Atanda JNR. Until we meet again, my son. Omo Ola sun reeee,” his poignant post read.
The music community rallied around Shanko, flooding his social media with condolences as fellow artists and fans expressed solidarity during this profound loss.
Just months earlier in December, the Fuji star had joyfully celebrated Jamaldeen’s 12th birthday, sharing a touching tribute to their unbreakable bond.
