Radio host Shade Ladipo has issued a heartfelt public apology to Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage.
The media figure confessed to regretting her previous harsh criticism following the 2021 leak of Tiwa’s confidential video.
Ladipo had publicly criticized the award-winning artist when the controversy initially surfaced.
In a Tuesday social media update, she openly acknowledged her past misjudgment and expressed remorse for her unfair condemnation.
The broadcaster revealed her initial reaction was misguided after reflecting on the situation more deeply.
Her emotional statement read: “I’m ashamed to admit I joined those condemning Tiwa Savage when that private video emerged. Honestly, I held her responsible. I questioned how someone our age could be involved in such a situation.
Looking back now, I can’t understand why I directed my anger at the victim rather than the violation itself.
Her pain resonated with me profoundly. Tiwa, from my heart – I adore you. Please accept my sincerest apology!”
