Nigerian music sensation Timi Dakolo has responded to online criticism after expressing appreciation for Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) personnel for their relentless efforts during the busy holiday period.
The celebrated vocalist had earlier posted a heartfelt tribute to the officers, acknowledging their non-stop dedication throughout December and insisting they merited recognition for their commitment.
However, one social media detractor dismissed his praise, sarcastically comparing it to “applauding a bird for flying.”
Dakolo swiftly rebuffed the cynic, challenging their perspective and asking if they grasped the grueling nature of round-the-clock service.
He emphasized that hardworking individuals excelling in demanding roles should be celebrated, not undermined.
