Social media influencer Habibur Masum has shockingly admitted to fatally attacking his wife while she strolled with their infant in a pram along a busy street.
The YouTube and TikTok personality pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter but maintains his innocence regarding premeditated murder charges.
The tragic incident occurred in April 2024 when 27-year-old Kulsuma Akter was brutally stabbed on Wigan Street, Bradford. Miraculously, her baby remained unharmed during the horrific attack.
Masum’s trial is set to begin on June 9, where he will also answer to additional charges including two counts of physical assault and one count of stalking.
Despite being rushed to the hospital, Kulsuma succumbed to her injuries. Authorities apprehended Masum 170 miles away in Aylesbury shortly after the incident.
Monwara Begum, the grieving mother of the victim, expressed her unimaginable pain, stating: “My world shattered when I lost my baby girl. She was my everything.”
“After she moved to the UK, our daily video calls were my lifeline. The one day I didn’t hear from her was the day my worst nightmare came true.”
Court documents reveal disturbing details of Masum’s alleged pattern of abuse, including stalking incidents from November 2023 where he reportedly:
“Monitored her every move, discovered her safe house location, and bombarded her with terrifying death threats along with surveillance images of her temporary residence.”
The prosecution further alleges he “lingered near her shelter, deliberately causing psychological torment and making her fear for her life.”
Legal authorities confirm the charges include intentionally inflicting severe emotional distress and creating reasonable fear of imminent violence.
