Authorities in Ondo State have apprehended three individuals linked to the brutal assault on renowned Fuji artist Obesere and his team.
As previously reported by Amonpoint News, the musician and his entourage faced a violent ambush following a performance at a funeral event in Okitipupa, Ondo State, last Friday.
In response, Okitipupa Local Government Chairman Soga Andrew Ogunsakin issued a strong statement condemning the attack, which was shared with DAILY POST and posted on his official Facebook page.
Ogunsakin confirmed the arrests and the retrieval of stolen property, vowing to pursue justice for the victims.
“Upon learning of the distressing attack on Obesere, I took immediate action to restore order and ensure those responsible face consequences.
“Three suspects have been detained, and investigations continue to identify additional perpetrators. Several stolen belongings have also been retrieved.
“I have reached out to Obesere’s representatives to arrange a meeting, where I will personally address this unfortunate event,” he added.
