Sunday Oliseh

Sunday Oliseh, ex-head coach of the Super Eagles, has disclosed that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) remains indebted to him for $26,000 in unpaid salaries.

Oliseh shared this revelation during an interview on the Home Turf podcast.

At 51, the former coach asserted that he would likely prevail if he pursued the matter with FIFA, the global football authority.

Despite this, he emphasized his reluctance to engage in legal battles against his homeland.

Oliseh remarked: “To this day, I stand as the only Nigerian coach who has stepped down voluntarily.

“Even now, the NFF hasn’t settled my two-month salary, amounting to $26,000.

“Many have urged me to file a lawsuit against the NFF.

“However, I refuse to bring my country before a foreign court. The case would begin with FIFA, and I’m confident of victory.

“Yet, media headlines would likely read, ‘Oliseh sues Nigeria,’ not ‘Oliseh sues the NFF.’”
