In a deeply personal video message, the former unified world champion spoke candidly about how their absence has shaken his world. He referred to them as pillars in his life—individuals who played multiple roles as brothers, business associates, and even roommates.
Joshua revealed how this unexpected tragedy has forced him to rethink his 2025 ambitions, stating, “Only God’s plan prevails,” while coming to terms with life’s unpredictability.
The Olympic gold medalist reminisced about the unbreakable connection he shared with Latz and Sina, highlighting how they consistently provided strength, security, and wisdom throughout his career.
Channeling his sorrow into purpose, Joshua vowed to keep alive the aspirations his departed friends held for their loved ones.
“Though they’re no longer with us physically, I feel their spiritual presence guiding me through my daily prayers,” the boxer shared emotionally. He expressed profound gratitude for the flood of global condolences, calling the response both humbling and comforting.
In his social media caption, Joshua extended thanks to emergency responders and medical professionals, specifically naming Dr. Ogunyankin, Dr. Tosin Majekodunmi, and Dr. Ninalowo at Ikoyi’s Lagoon Hospital for their efforts.
The athlete also acknowledged prominent figures including billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, industrialist Aliko Dangote, Senator Daisy Danjuma, and the executive leadership of Lagos, Ogun States, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for their support during this difficult period.
