Peter Okoye

Nigerian music sensation Peter Okoye has publicly severed ties with his brothers while denying allegations that he ignored dancehall artist Cynthia Morgan’s claims of mistreatment in the industry.

On June 4, Peter unleashed a fiery social media outburst, accusing his siblings of hiring PR agents to smear his reputation and paint him as dishonest. He emphasized that he is not like “May D or Cynthia Morgan.”

For context, both May D and Cynthia Morgan were previously signed to Jude Okoye’s label before publicly accusing him of unfair dealings.

Peter faced backlash from fans for only speaking out now that he’s personally affected, despite staying silent when others raised concerns. In response, he shared old posts from 2020 proving he had supported Cynthia Morgan.

In later posts, he boldly declared, “iDisOwnThem”, seemingly referring to brothers Jude and Paul Okoye. He further alleged that Jude’s wife controlled 80% of a company diverting P-Square’s earnings, while his own wife, Lola Omotayo Okoye, was unfairly blamed.

He wrote: “Now y’all are shocked to see my tweets about Cynthia Morgan after years because you were fed lies that my wife was the problem—just to hide their shady dealings. Meanwhile, his wife owned the company stealing from P-Square. If it were Lola, the media would’ve crucified her. I won’t stay silent.”
