Recently evicted Big Brother Naija Season 10 contestant Thelma Lawson has revealed the root of her strained relationship with co-housemate Isabella, shedding light on the behind-the-scenes drama.
Thelma shared candid insights during her exit interview after her unexpected elimination alongside Bright Morgan during last weekend’s live eviction show.
The former housemate disclosed that tensions arose over her existing friendship with fellow competitor Kayinkunmi, which Isabella allegedly misinterpreted as a budding romance.
“I’m genuinely disappointed about how things turned out between Isabella and me. As someone raising a teenager, I admired her maturity and wanted us to bond,” Thelma expressed.
“But everything shifted when she started seeing my platonic connection with Kayinkunmi as competition.”
The situation escalated further when Thelma, during her time as Head of House, selected Kayinkunmi as her deputy—a decision she maintains was purely strategic.
“The way Isabella responded to my deputy selection made it crystal clear we wouldn’t reconcile easily,” she recalled.
The reality TV personality admitted she purposely kept quiet about how well she knew Kayinkunmi prior to the show to avoid unnecessary drama.
“Choosing Kayinkunmi wasn’t random—we had history. But I didn’t owe anyone explanations unless they asked directly.
“By the time Isabella understood our dynamic, the chemistry between us had already turned toxic.”
Thelma wrapped up her reflections by acknowledging that some relationships simply don’t blossom, even in pressured environments like Big Brother’s house.
