Heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua has shared a heartfelt tribute to his late companions who tragically lost their lives during a trip in Nigeria.
The Olympic gold medalist used his Instagram Stories to honor the memory of Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele, tagging their profiles in an emotional post.
Joshua penned: “@HEALTHY_MINDSET X @SINA_EVOLVE
“GRATEFUL FOR EVERY MOMENT, MY BROTHERS
“YOUR IMPACT ON MY LIFE WAS IMMEASURABLE
“I RARELY EXPRESS MYSELF ONLINE, BUT TODAY I NEED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE INCREDIBLE TIME WE SHARED.”
He concluded: “This needed to be said. Your opinions won’t change that.”
Ghami served as Joshua’s performance coach, while Ayodele was both his fitness trainer and close confidant. The devastating accident occurred on January 29 along Nigeria’s Lagos-Ibadan Expressway while they were accompanying the boxing icon.
