Temitope Osoba’s relatives have vehemently denied widespread online speculation about her demise, labeling the claims as baseless and unauthorized.
In a heartfelt message posted on her verified social media account, the family condemned the circulation of unconfirmed reports, expressing distress over the distress caused by such misinformation during an already difficult time.
They urged the public to disregard the unfounded rumors and refrain from amplifying false narratives that compound their grief.
“The family of Temitope Osoba is deeply troubled by the rampant falsehoods regarding her alleged passing,” the statement read.
The family clarified that no credible announcements regarding her status had been released or endorsed by them, stressing that all circulating claims were unverified and misleading.
“We implore well-wishers and media outlets to avoid spreading unsubstantiated news that only deepens our sorrow,” the statement continued.
Requesting privacy, they emphasized the need for space to process their emotions without the intrusion of sensationalized reports.
The family assured that any official updates would be shared through designated spokespersons and verified platforms, urging reliance only on such sources.
“Until formal communication is issued, all speculative posts should be dismissed,” the family reiterated.
Grateful for the outpouring of sympathy, prayers, and solidarity, the Awonuga/Osoba family also appealed for respect toward Temitope’s legacy and their need for privacy during this period of mourning.
