Big Brother Naija Season 10 alumna Ifeyinwa Okafor, better recognized as Ivatar, recently opened up about her stint in the reality show, disclosing that audiences often misjudged her character based on her exterior.
Speaking to Sunday Scoop, the tattooed reality star revealed that viewers expected explosive behavior from her simply due to her aesthetic choices.
“Many assumed I’d bring constant drama because of my ink and style, but that’s not who I am. I’ve always maintained that appearances don’t dictate personality.
“I carry myself with poise and purpose. While I have a wilder side, it only surfaces with trusted company. Being mother to an adult child also means I won’t compromise my values for entertainment,” she emphasized.
Addressing circulating rumors about her connection with co-contestant Kaybobo, the ex-housemate firmly denied any romantic involvement.
She clarified that a widely shared image implying intimacy between them was fabricated.
“That picture completely took me by surprise. Kaybobo and I share common ground as friends, but the speculation about us is baseless,” Ivatar stated.
The former housemate also touched on her complicated dynamic with fellow contestant Mensan prior to her eviction.
She conceded that while they connected through mutual understanding, she might have approached their alliance differently.
“Perhaps I shouldn’t have drawn him so close simply because I identified with his isolation. We created memorable moments, but maintaining personal limits remains crucial to me,” she reflected.
