The family of renowned Yoruba movie star Taiwo Hassan has debunked viral rumors of the actor’s demise, labeling the claims as malicious falsehoods and calling for an end to the spread of misinformation.

Speculation about the actor’s death gained traction on social platforms after an unverified user alleged one of Hassan’s daughters had confirmed his passing, claiming his health had declined beyond medical help.

Lima Taiwo, one of the actor’s daughters, took to Instagram to refute the claims, categorically stating the reports were completely unfounded and urging followers to disregard the falsehoods.

This clarification comes after both Lima and her sister Kira made urgent appeals for specialized medical attention earlier this week, revealing their father’s battle with advanced-stage cancer.

In an emotional video shared Monday, Lima disclosed her father’s deteriorating condition and claimed healthcare providers had discontinued his treatment. She specifically appealed to oncologists and specialized cancer centers, emphasizing their need for expert intervention rather than financial support.

The distressed daughter explained the family only became fully aware of the severity of his condition recently, as his outward appearance had previously masked the gravity of his illness.

Kira confirmed these distressing details in a separate appeal, revealing medical professionals had communicated their inability to continue chemotherapy treatment for the stage-four cancer diagnosis. Both sisters have shared direct contact information for potential medical partners who might offer viable treatment solutions.
