Mirabel

Reality TV personality Natacha Akide, widely recognized as Tacha, has called for legal action against TikTok user Mirabel after the latter confessed to fabricating a harrowing r@pe accusation.

Mirabel had previously claimed she was assaulted by an intruder who broke into her residence in Ogijo, Ogun State, igniting fury across social media platforms.

However, in a leaked audio conversation shared by controversial commentator VeryDarkMan (VDM), Mirabel retracted her statement, citing personal turmoil and mental health challenges.

She admitted, “Please, I’m sorry—I wasn’t in my right mind when I made those videos. I’ve been struggling with substance abuse.”

The Ogun State Police Command has since moved to detain Mirabel, with plans to prosecute her for false allegations.

A senior police official disclosed to PUNCH that authorities are awaiting Mirabel’s hospital discharge before taking her into custody. “The DPO and other officers are monitoring her condition. Once cleared, she’ll face legal consequences to discourage such reckless claims,” the source stated.

Tacha took to 𝕏 to demand accountability, urging authorities to impose severe penalties. “Since Mirabel’s lie is confirmed, she must face the same repercussions as an actual offender. False accusations fuel the narratives of r@pe apologists and embolden predators. She cannot go unpunished,” she asserted.

“Our society is already plagued by violence against women—we can’t let deceitful individuals worsen the crisis.”
