Bay FC, a team in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), has recognized Asisat Oshoala for her stellar performance during Nigeria’s triumphant run at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Oshoala received special recognition at Paypal Park before Bay FC’s match against San Diego Wave.
The 30-year-old forward netted one goal in five matches for Nigeria during the WAFCON 2024 tournament.
Her sole goal came in the Super Falcons’ opening victory over Tunisia, which ended 3-0.
Oshoala has clinched the WAFCON title four times with the Super Falcons.
She boasts an impressive record of 37 goals in 61 appearances for Nigeria.
