The Super Eagles are set for a competitive qualifying campaign after being grouped with Madagascar, Tanzania, and Guinea-Bissau for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
CAF officials conducted the official draw at the Egyptian Football Association headquarters in Cairo earlier this week, setting the stage for crucial clashes.
As one of Africa’s football powerhouses, Nigeria entered the draw as a seeded team, with high expectations of securing qualification to the continental tournament.
With only the top two teams advancing to the finals, the Super Eagles will aim to dominate their group and avoid any surprises from their challengers.
The qualifiers will unfold across three FIFA international breaks, beginning in September 2026 and culminating in March 2027.
Matchdays 1 and 2 are slated for September 21 and October 6, 2026, while the third and fourth rounds will take place between November 9 and 17, 2026.
The decisive final fixtures are scheduled for late March 2027, with every match critical in Nigeria’s pursuit of AFCON glory.
