Super Eagles

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have soared into the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations after a commanding victory over Algeria in Morocco.

A clinical second-half performance saw the Eagles dismantle the Desert Foxes 2-0, with Victor Osimhen playing a pivotal role in both goals.

Despite early pressure from Algeria, Nigeria’s defense held firm, with Calvin Bassey nearly breaking the deadlock before halftime—only denied by a last-ditch clearance.

The breakthrough came when Osimhen expertly nodded in Bruno Onyemaechi’s pinpoint cross, before turning provider to assist Akor Adams for a decisive second.

With this triumph, the three-time AFCON champions advance to face tournament hosts Morocco in a high-stakes semi-final showdown.
