Super Eagles

Nigeria’s national football team, the Super Eagles, has unveiled its 24-man roster for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup African qualifiers in Rabat, Morocco, featuring a blend of veteran leadership and rising stars.

Head coach Eric Chelle has assembled a formidable squad set to clash with Gabon in the semi-finals, spearheaded by captain William Ekong and featuring marquee names like Victor Osimhen, Stanley Nwabali, and dynamic defenders Bright Osayi-Samuel and Calvin Bassey.

The midfield boasts the experience of Alex Iwobi and Wilfred Ndidi alongside emerging talent Frank Onyeka, while the attack is bolstered by electrifying wingers Samuel Chukwueze and Ademola Lookman.

The crucial semi-final showdown against Gabon will take place at Rabat’s 22,000-seat Complexe Sportif Prince Heritier Moulay Al Hassan, while Cameroon and DR Congo will battle at the nearby El-Barid Stadium.

Chelle’s selections include surprise recalls for goalkeeper Maduka Okoye and Spanish-based forward Chidera Ejuke, along with fresh faces Raphael Onyedika and Tolu Arokodare. The squad will be without suspended defender Oluwasemilogo Ajayi for the Gabon encounter.

Players are expected to converge in Rabat by Monday, November 10th, arriving from their respective clubs across Europe and beyond.
