Daniel Ademinokan

Nollywood actor and filmmaker Daniel Ademinokan has publicly refuted claims made by his ex-wife, Stella Damasus, regarding their 2020 divorce. The dispute stems from Stella’s recent revelation that she first learned about their marital dissolution through a YouTube video.

During an appearance on The Teju BabyFace Show last July, Stella shocked listeners by disclosing she discovered the end of her marriage via social media.

“Friends started calling me after seeing Daniel’s announcement online,” she recounted. “That’s when I searched YouTube and saw him publicly declaring our marriage was over—news to me at the time.”

The actor-turned-director responded sharply on Instagram, sharing what appears to be email evidence contradicting Stella’s timeline. The screenshots show Stella requesting delivery details for divorce paperwork in mid-2021—nearly a year after their official separation.

Daniel revealed heartbreaking motivations behind the divorce, alleging his son endured physical abuse during their marriage. “My child suffered injuries severe enough to require makeup for school,” he wrote, explaining his decision to prioritize his son’s safety.

This marks Daniel’s second high-profile divorce following his earlier split from actress Doris Simeon, with whom he shares a teenage son. After divorcing Stella, the filmmaker remarried and recently welcomed another child with his current spouse.

The escalating drama has captivated Nollywood followers, with both sides presenting conflicting accounts about their marital breakdown. Daniel concluded his post by stating: “I’ve stayed silent until now, but I won’t tolerate false narratives.”
