Renowned Nollywood star Stanley Ontop has called for legal action against actress Peggy Ovire after disturbing footage emerged online, showing her allegedly attacking fellow actor Taye Arimoro in a brutal altercation.

The actor publicly urged authorities to intervene on Thursday, amplifying the controversy surrounding the incident.

Earlier reports detailed a viral CCTV recording capturing Peggy and her team physically confronting Taye, sparking widespread outrage.

Peggy had previously refuted the assault allegations, claiming the victim had assaulted her driver first. However, the newly surfaced video contradicts her statement.

Addressing the damning evidence, Stanley Ontop took to Instagram, demanding justice. Tagging the Nigeria Police Force, he declared, “No actor deserves such treatment.”

He further wrote: “@nigeriapoliceforce, I urge you to investigate the assault on @tayearimoro by producer Peggy and her driver. Taye refused to work past midnight as his contract had ended, but instead of resolving the matter peacefully, Peggy instigated violence. Her driver attacked him, leading to severe injuries. This is unacceptable.

“Peggy must face the law. The CCTV clearly shows her and her team aggressively surrounding Taye’s car before the assault. The Lagos State Police Command must act swiftly. Justice cannot wait.”
