Nigerian artist Spyro has called on citizens to resist foreign interference disguised as aid, warning that external forces seek exploitation rather than salvation.
He cautioned that these actors have hidden agendas to destabilize the nation through conflict and chaos.
The music star emphasized that public figures must break their silence before it’s too late, as war would erase cultural consumption and creative industries overnight.
His social media statement declared: “Our nation stands at a precipice – this is no time for influencers and leaders to remain silent…
“When war engulfs a land, survival replaces entertainment. No concerts, no streaming, no congregations – just hunger and desperation.
“To every celebrity, cleric, entrepreneur and content creator: your voices must demand governmental transparency TODAY.
“Foreign saviors are wolves in sheep’s clothing, bringing only destruction in their wake.
“Without citizens, platforms become meaningless. Use your influence now when it can still make impact.”
He concluded: “Beware mirages of salvation – darkness often wears a halo. Their true mission? Plunder, carnage and ruin. This is our last stand to pressure leadership into averting catastrophe through united voices.”
