Nigerian artist Speed Darlington has openly defied NAPTIP, refusing to comply with their summons amid serious allegations.
The musician ignored the agency’s request to appear for questioning following explosive accusations against him.
Authorities had earlier declared him wanted over claims of rape, cyberbullying, and harassment after he skipped their initial invitation.
The controversy erupted when Darlington admitted in an Instagram video to having relations with an underage teenager.
In a fiery Instagram clip this week, the entertainer publicly dismissed NAPTIP’s demands, challenging them to substantiate their case.
Mocking the agency’s efforts, he vowed legal action for reputational damage while insisting on his innocence.
“NAPTIP listens up—remove that ridiculous wanted notice immediately. I won’t show up. Got it? Not happening.
“Absolutely nothing illegal occurred—just words spoken. Thoughtless statements aren’t crimes. Show me proof! Who’s accusing me? This is just a publicity stunt so you look effective.
“If you want me there, pay my appearance fee: N2.5 million plus travel costs for me and my assistant. You’ve got zero evidence—it’s all performative. Complete waste of my valuable time.
“You only care because social media pressured you. Pretending to be diligent? Investigate what exactly? What cyberstalking? I didn’t identify anyone publicly!
“Sleeping with a 15-year-old isn’t illegal—where’s your proof? Take my name off that list immediately. I’ll bankrupt you in court for dragging my reputation through the mud.”
