Popular Nigerian comedian Lord Lamba has sparked a heated debate with his candid take on Nigerian celebrities fleeing to the U.S. only to return home shortly after.
In a viral clip, he didn’t hold back, exposing the harsh financial realities many face abroad.
“Most of these so-called celebrities jet off to the U.S., but guess what? Two weeks later, they’re sprinting back to Nigeria. That’s just madness.”
He emphasized that overseas expenses hit differently compared to Nigeria’s relatively affordable lifestyle.
“You think bills abroad are like Nigeria’s? Nah, you’ll drain your account in days. Want to move to the U.S.? Think twice.”
“Over there, everything’s in dollars—your earnings, your bills. One month in, and you’re already counting pennies.”
