Former Big Brother Naija star Pere Egbi has sparked conversation with his recent remarks on single women living independently in Nigeria.
He emphasized that young, unmarried women should avoid residing alone, recommending they share their living spaces with trusted companions—whether friends or relatives.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), he shared: “A word of wisdom for single ladies in Nigeria—don’t stay by yourself. Always have someone around, be it a close friend or family. Living solo isn’t ideal for women.”

When questioned if his stance was influenced by the tragic death of singer Ifunanya Nwangene—who succumbed to a snakebite in her Abuja home—Pere replied, “That and more.”
He further clarified that his advice extends beyond gender, stating, “Solitary living isn’t advisable for anyone.”
