Shooting Stars assistant coach, Akin Olowokere, has passed away.
He collapsed and d!ed on Monday morning.
Olowokere was recently appointed as part of 3SC’s coaching staff.
The former Sunshine Stars player and coach fell ill during training, prompting immediate medical intervention.
The unfortunate event occurred at Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu Ode, where the team was preparing for Matchday 2 of the ValueJet Cup 2025.
He was subsequently rushed to an undisclosed medical facility.
Olowokere joined the Oluyole Warriors’ coaching team after the NPFL club replaced its previous coaching staff led by Gbenga Ogunbote.
