Big Brother Naija alum Bella Okagbue has finally addressed her highly publicized split with co-star Sheggz, revealing her decision to remain silent initially was to protect their privacy.
The reality TV star explained she felt compelled to break her silence after witnessing numerous distorted narratives circulating online.
Bella confessed she deeply loved Sheggz and passionately defended their relationship, believing in his potential for positive transformation. “I gave him another chance because I saw something worth fighting for,” she shared. “That was my choice, and I stand by it.”
However, she emphasized that patience has limits. “Believing in change doesn’t mean enduring forever. There comes a point when you must choose yourself.”
The media personality hinted at stark contrasts between Sheggz’s public persona and private behavior. “Cameras show performance,” she noted cryptically. “The real test comes when they’re switched off.”
Addressing marriage speculations, Bella clarified: “Desiring marriage with someone you love isn’t weakness—it’s human. But recognizing when that union would be disastrous? That’s strength.” She stressed that proposals can’t mend broken foundations.
While acknowledging multiple conflicting accounts online, Bella confirmed she’s intentionally withholding certain details. “Some chapters of this story are mine alone to tell—when I’m ready,” she stated.
The entrepreneur revealed she invested completely—”love, loyalty, endless patience”—but reached her breaking point when mistreatment overshadowed devotion. “Loyalty means nothing without mutual respect and peace,” she asserted.
Now focused on self-rediscovery, Bella remains unashamed of her resilience. “I regret nothing about fighting for us. But self-respect demands knowing when to stop.” Whatever consequences follow her departure, she’s prepared to face them head-on.
