Seun Kuti, Fela Kuti’s youngest son and a celebrated musician in his own right, has shared his thoughts on Korra Obidi’s lively dance tribute to his late father.

As previously covered by Amonpoint News, Korra made headlines after her weekend visit to Nigeria, where she stopped by Fela’s grave and performed a twerking homage in his memory.

Posting the clip on Instagram, Korra wrote, “I gave baba an offering. We visited Anikulapo Kuti’s resting place, and since we know how much Fela adored women with energetic dance moves, I chose to twerk in his honor.”

Seun Kuti responded warmly, acknowledging that her tribute resonated with his father’s spirited legacy: “You all know what baba loved, but few dare to give it. More power to you, sister.”

The performance has divided opinions online, with some applauding the bold gesture while others question its appropriateness.
