In an emotional Instagram statement, Martins denounced what she described as heartless confiscation of resources destined for underprivileged children.
The screen personality revealed her meal preparations were meant to feed approximately 200 homeless children who depend on her weekly feeding initiative.
According to her account, eager youngsters anticipating their only substantial meal of the day were left devastated when officials abruptly halted the distribution.
Martins emphasized her distress stemmed from seeing crushed hopes rather than material losses, explaining how she wept witnessing the children’s despair.
The philanthropist-actress maintained her initiative wasn’t performative activism, noting she doesn’t profit from her humanitarian social media content.
For nearly a decade, Martins revealed, she’s dedicated herself to restoring dignity to street children through nutritional support and emotional connection.
She suggested authorities could have demonstrated compassion by permitting food distribution before enforcing regulations.
