Nollywood star Sarah Martins has raised alarm over an alleged fraudulent transfer of ₦3 million from her bank account by a newly recruited employee, as revealed in an emotional social media video.
The actress disclosed that she had hired a young videographer and sales manager just weeks before the incident, only to discover unauthorized withdrawals from her Zenith Bank account.
Martins recounted that ₦2 million was mysteriously deducted on December 22, followed by an additional ₦1 million shortly afterward, leaving her stunned.
Initially dismissing the first transaction as a possible banking glitch, Martins admitted she didn’t suspect her staff member until after attending a major industry event where she was preoccupied.
Visibly shaken in the viral clip, the actress later publicly apologized to Zenith Bank for her initial skepticism, praising their rapid fraud detection system and prompt response to her complaint.
The incident has prompted Martins to implement stricter hiring protocols for her business and philanthropic ventures, emphasizing the need for greater financial vigilance.
While these allegations remain unverified by official investigations or legal proceedings, the video has sparked widespread discussion about employment trust and financial security.
