Nollywood star Ruth Kadiri has opened up about her decision to keep her marriage and personal life private, citing deep-seated fears and personal concerns.

She admitted that marital anxiety played a major role in her choice to avoid publicizing her relationship.

During a recent podcast interview, Kadiri explained that uncertainties about her marital future made her reluctant to share details with the media.

To prevent unnecessary scrutiny, she opted for a low-profile wedding, a decision her husband fully supported.

Kadiri confessed she grappled with doubts, wondering if marriage would disrupt her life, leading her to avoid a grand celebration.

In 2018, the couple exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony attended by only 50 close family members—25 from each side.

Had they been residing overseas, she mentioned, they might have skipped the ceremony altogether, opting for a simple court wedding.

Since then, the couple has welcomed two daughters, born in August 2019 and July 2022.
