The Ademola family has publicly mourned the loss of renowned Nollywood actress and filmmaker Allwell Ademola, revealing she passed away at 49.
Initial industry reports had incorrectly stated her age as 43, with claims that she suffered a fatal heart attack at home before medical intervention.
As news of her demise spread, an outpouring of heartfelt tributes from fellow actors and filmmakers flooded social media.
Adebayo Adeboyega, speaking on behalf of the family, confirmed in an official statement that Allwell’s passing occurred on December 27, 2025.
Hailing from Ogun State’s Ademola lineage, the late actress was also a descendant of the Alake of Egbaland, known for her lifelong passion for the arts.
The family extended appreciation to fans, colleagues, and supporters worldwide for their overwhelming compassion during this challenging period.
Funeral proceedings will be announced at a later date, according to the family’s statement.
