Renowned Nigerian rap icon Jude Abaga, popularly known as M.I, has voiced deep regret over his past backing of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The celebrated artist confessed that the ruling party has failed to align with his vision for Nigeria’s future.

This marks a stark reversal from 2015 when M.I threw his weight behind the APC during its historic victory over the Goodluck Jonathan administration.

During a candid conversation on the Menism podcast, the Chocolate City boss acknowledged, “I tweeted about the Benue herdsmen crisis, and critics quickly reminded me of my APC support.

“True, I championed their cause believing PDP’s corruption demanded change. Like anyone, I’ve had my misjudgments. Today’s APC bears no resemblance to the party I envisioned.”

“Now my priority is mobilizing Nigeria’s creative minds – artists, activists and innovators – to collectively reshape our nation’s trajectory.”

The multiple-award-winning rapper revealed his renewed commitment to leveraging artistic influence for grassroots activism and youth empowerment.
