Nigerian politician Ned Nwoko has issued a statement following his estranged wife Regina Daniels’ public release of a drug test result conducted in the UK, which confirmed she had no substances in her system.
The actress explained she took the test to counter drug addiction claims made by Nwoko, emphasizing her desire for transparency for her children’s sake.
In response, Nwoko dismissed the results, stating: “TEMPORARY CLEAN RESULTS DON’T EQUAL SOBRIETY.”
He elaborated: “A single negative test doesn’t erase documented evidence from prior professional assessments conducted in Nigeria and South Africa. These reports will be presented in court, with the involved facilities testifying to their validity.”
Nwoko further argued that short-term abstinence doesn’t resolve deeper issues, adding: “Renaming MDMA doesn’t change its dangers. True recovery requires sustained professional intervention, not social media displays.”
He referenced a court order mandating supervised therapy for Daniels, noting: “We pursued discreet rehabilitation efforts long before this became public. Accountability means confronting reality, not staging performances.”
The senator concluded: “Any test results must withstand court scrutiny. The judiciary may appoint an independent lab to verify claims—this is about evidence, not publicity.”
