Nollywood star Regina Daniels has opened up about her past relationship with Ned Nwoko, explaining why she never filed for divorce.
In a candid Instagram statement, the actress emphasized that their union was never formalized under the law.
She highlighted that no official marriage certificates were signed, leaving no legal grounds for divorce proceedings.
Regina shared that although she had longed to exit the relationship earlier, the lack of legal recognition made traditional separation impossible.
The actress expressed frustration over sacrificing pivotal years of her youth, dedication, and professional growth, now reclaiming her autonomy.
She stressed that genuine affection and marriage should never be coerced, demanding respect for her decision to part ways.
Her post read: “Let me set the record straight—no amount of money spent on me can outweigh the years, energy, and career sacrifices I made during our time together.
“Had we legally wed, I would have sought divorce long before now. But since no court documented our union, there was nothing to dissolve. Ned, stop holding onto what’s no longer yours. Love and marriage can’t be forced—respect my choice to move forward.”
