Former Miss Universe Nigeria, Chidimma Adetshina, has opened up about why she couldn’t compete in the latest season of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija), despite her earlier enthusiasm to participate.
Earlier in 2024, the stunning titleholder announced her plans to join the 2025 edition of the popular reality show.
However, she was notably absent from the season, which concluded with Imisi clinching the grand prize of N80 million and a brand-new SUV in October.
Taking to her X (formerly Twitter) account, Adetshina shared a candid explanation: her management team prevented her from entering BBNaija’s milestone 10th season due to her ongoing reign as Miss Universe Nigeria.
The model and actress, however, confirmed her intention to participate in the 2026 edition. She also reflected on her enriching time in Nigeria, expressing eagerness to return soon.
“Nigeria was an incredible experience for me, and I can’t wait to go back once I sort out my travel documents. The eight months I spent there were nothing short of amazing,” she revealed.
“There’s still so much to discover, and Nigeria is brimming with opportunities. Big Brother is definitely a goal for next year—I had planned to join this season, but my team advised against it while I still hold my crown.”

I want also to do Big Brothers.
Once I get my papers sorted out , I will go. 🙏 pic.twitter.com/k4ZLBVp5yl
