Nigerian reality TV personality Neo Akpofure has demanded a retraction and public apology after serious allegations of misconduct surfaced online.
The legal notice, dispatched by his attorneys, addresses claims posted by Udoka, accusing Akpofure of inappropriate conduct during their time at the University of Calabar (UNICAL).
In her post, Udoka alleged an incident occurred without consent and referenced prior casual encounters between them.
Akpofure’s legal team vehemently refuted the accusations, labeling them as baseless and harmful to his public image.
They emphasized that the claims falsely depict him as a perpetrator of misconduct, causing significant reputational and emotional distress.
The notice mandates Udoka to delete the post, issue a formal apology, and provide a written assurance against future defamatory remarks.
Failure to comply within 48 hours will result in legal proceedings, including a defamation lawsuit under Nigerian statutes.
The statement further declared: “Your assertions are entirely fabricated, malicious, and defamatory.
“They unjustly characterize our client as a criminal, exposing him to public scorn, professional setbacks, and personal anguish.”
