Real Madrid have officially completed the signing of French international Ibrahima Konaté, securing the former Liverpool defender on a long-term contract until 2030.
The Spanish giants unveiled the deal on their official channels, revealing the 27-year-old will wear the iconic white jersey after a highly successful stint in the Premier League.
Konaté, who transferred from RB Leipzig to Liverpool in 2021, established himself as a defensive mainstay at Anfield, featuring in 183 matches and claiming multiple trophies—including the 2025 Premier League title and the 2022 FA Cup.
The Frenchman’s arrival marks another strategic reinforcement for Real Madrid, who have aggressively revamped their squad under new manager José Mourinho. Earlier this summer, the club secured Marc Cucurella and Bernardo Silva, while rumors persist about a potential move for Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries.
Further reshaping their defensive line, Los Blancos confirmed Antonio Rüdiger’s contract extension through 2027, offsetting the exits of veterans Dani Carvajal and David Alaba.
