The 44-year-old artist claimed he’s journeying from Tampa to Los Angeles, relying on strangers for meals and overnight stays.
He framed the bold venture as a social experiment for his upcoming reality series, Celebrity Hitchhiking, according to sources.
The footage captured Ray J solo on a roadside, thumb outstretched, assuring viewers that no production team accompanied him.
“This isn’t staged—I’m actually looking for a place to crash tonight,” he asserted, explaining his goal of connecting with everyday families to share their stories before moving to his next stop.
He emphasized that the trip serves as a test-run for the show’s premise, traveling light with only his phone and minimal belongings. Ray J added that he aims to reunite with his kids in LA by December 22 for the holidays.
The stunt arrives amid recent headlines about his Thanksgiving arrest tied to a dispute with estranged wife Princess Love. Though not directly addressing the incident, he hinted at personal struggles, candidly admitting his need for shelter and food.
