Renowned Nigerian hip-hop artist William Orioha, popularly known as 2Shotz, has shared how actress Beverly Osu’s explosive allegation shattered both his personal life and professional trajectory.

The controversy stemmed from Osu’s claim of physical assault against him.

During a candid conversation on the Teju Babyface Show, the rap veteran detailed how the years-old accusation spiraled into an unforeseen nightmare with devastating repercussions.

He recounted that Beverly, who had previously appeared in one of his music projects, was a regular guest at his residence before their relationship turned sour.

2Shotz explained that during a tense argument, his hand “inadvertently made contact with her face,” but Osu perceived it as a deliberate attack, sparking widespread controversy.

The fallout was immediate and brutal—brand partnerships vanished overnight, his marriage collapsed, and he faced relentless public condemnation.

The artist maintained his innocence, asserting he was never prone to violence and that the incident had been grossly exaggerated.

Reflecting on the ordeal, he described it as the lowest point in his life, admitting it nearly destroyed his career and drove him to the brink of despair.

“I was painted as someone I’m not. The backlash was merciless—no gigs, no opportunities, I lost everything. There were nights I thought about ending it all, even tried to walk into a lake before people stopped me,” he confessed.
